The Congregation at Duke University Chapel, founded in 1985, supplements the ministry of Duke University Chapel. Duke University, through the Chapel, provides a robust schedule of worship services and concerts, sponsors three excellent vocal choirs and provides ministries to university students. The Congregation provides ministries in the areas of mission, education and fellowship to create a complete church experience to those who worship at the Chapel. Our year-round ministries are designed for all ages, from infants to older adults. The Chapel and Congregation staff work in close collaboration with one another for the benefit of all those who call Duke Chapel their spiritual home. |
The Senior Pastor is an employee of The Congregation at Duke University Chapel, not Duke University. Therefore, the position is not an academic appointment. The Congregation has had three pastors in its history, and appreciates long pastorates. The Congregation is led by a team of two full-time and five part-time staff along with a 12-person Council. This website and the annual year-in-review video will introduce you to the Congregation and its ministries. If you would like more information about the search, please email [email protected] |
