Drawing of Child Praying

by Phyllis Snyder

Get ready for the 2002-2003 Children's Celebration classes! We will begin meeting on Sunday, September 8. This year, the older children in the group will form a class of their own called "Bible Adventures." The Sunday morning schedule will be as follows:

9:30-10:00 a.m. -- Meet in Chapel Kitchen for light breakfast, fellowship and pre-lesson activities

10:00-10:45 a.m. -- Children's Celebration class (for infants through first grade)

Bible Adventures class (for second grade through sixth grade)

The age division of the classes is not absolute. Children may choose to attend the class that best suits their learning style and level.

If you have questions about the children's groups, please contact Phyllis Snyder, Director of Children's Ministry, at msf80@nc.rr.com or(919) 732-3395. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone back on September 8! If you haven't been to our class before, please feel free to join us any Sunday morning.

Disciple Bible Study and Disciples inAction Classes to Begin in September

Would you like to participate in a small group Bible study during the coming year? Plans are being made for both new Disciple Bible study classes (including Disciple I) and a new group called Disciples in Action to begin in early September. Disciple Bible study is an intensive 34-week class that includes daily reading assignments and one two-hour group meeting per week. Disciples in Action will use a different format by meeting twice per month, devoting one meeting to Bible study and one meeting to a service project. The Friday morning Lectionary class will also resume its weekly meetings on September 6. All are welcome.

Please contact Nancy at (919) 684-3917 by September 5 if you would like to participate or have questions about any of these groups.
